What inspired you to start this club?
What inspired me to start this club is seeing that I didn’t see too many meet ups in my area of Orange County that were out in the community where I live and got feedback from other moms that they were interested in supporting me!
What advice or encouragement from this group has stayed with you the most?
As of now, I think most members value that I try to strive to make a safe and inclusive environment and welcome all moms with special needs kids like mine, I also do provide resources, so I think others are interested in that aspect as well.
During Autism Acceptance Month, what's one messsage you wish more people understood about autism?
I wish more people understood the spectrum of autism is vast, and that no individual person with special needs may look the same, such as my son who masks well but elopes and has strong impulses. I want to build a community that has acceptance and inclusive in mind.
